Its a very exciting time around here at the moment as 2 little cherubs have arrived in the last week to some lovely friends. But the most special delivery (and that being for my twin sister) is due in 10 days time - which also happens to be my daughters birthday too! It's an exciting waiting game. Polka Dot Emma
I'd always thought that my colouring was good however as I'm self taught I knew there were so many things, tips and tricks I've yet to learm/master. I've recently been introduced to an extremely talented lady by the name of Alyce Keegan who is the brains behind Kit and Clowder. She is a superb colour artist and has some amazing technique classes on her forum. If anyone is wanting to expand their skills with alcohol markers then I suggest that you book into one of her classes (classes run online in your own time with great downloadable detailed tutorial booklets, exercise sheets, videos and personal feedback to boot!)
Stamps: CC Designs Sugarplums Polka Dot Emma, Kaszazz Sentiment & Frangipani
Copics: Skin: E000 E00 E21 E11 BV31 R20
Hair: E21 E25 E29
Bathing Suit: B01 B02 B04
Papers: Kaszazz Frangipani, cardstock
Dies: Spellbinders Modern Stationary
Other: Antique Linen & Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, Ribbon, Sequins, Kindyglitz, Wink of Stella
And here is a comparison of the same stamp but using the Kit & Clowder technique. Such a difference in just 2 workshop lessons (and there are 8 for both the Skin & Hair class and the Clothing class, with more courses to come too).

Forever Friends
This week I've had the honor of being a Guest Designer for Scrapping 4 Fun Challenge and this is what I've created for them.
Their challenge #20 this week is this gorgeous colour scheme. I loved this colour scheme & wanted to keep it 'in the garden' as such, hence all of the butterflies & fairy.
For the butterflies I dry embossed some Core'dination cardstock then sanded it to bring out the central colour. Here are a couple of close-ups of this little cutie & also of the cluster of embellishments too.
Card ingredients include:

Simple Sympathy
I hate making sympathy cards as it's never nice to have to say goodbye to someone. Here is a quick and simple card which is elegant and classic. I used some old paper & this was the first time playing with both new dies too. The edge of the designer paper has been sponged and distressed before sewing around the edges. After attaching the die cuts, I've added some Liquid Pearls to give it a bit of a lift
Card ingredients include:
Paper: Melissa Frances 'Classic Elegance', cardstock
Stamp: Kaiser Craft 'with sympathy' sentiment
Dies: Die Version Viney Heart, Memory Box Macarena Corner
Other: Vintage Photo Distress Ink, distressing tool, sewing machine, Pearl Onyx Liquid Pearls

You're the Best
The challenge over at Outlawz Saturday Paper Al a Mode starting tomorrow is 'Junk in the Trunk'. Pull out metal, clay, cardboard, pins, safety pins, twine etc and use it on your card. It is sponsored by the very talented Rick St Dennis who's image takes center stage on my Steampunk creation.
This card started with the basic sketch #6 from Poppy Sketches which included the harlequin pattern too, however as I was putting it together it quickly took on a life of it's own and morphed into something very different. As the central panel is still in line with the sketch, I decided to still enter it into the challenge.
