Kit & Clowder Retreat

I had the great pleasure to be able to attend the first annual Kit & Clowder Retreat over the weekend. It was held at Cedar Creek Lodge at Mount Tambourine in sunny Queensland (but that didn't stop it from raining every day!!!) The rain didn't dull the Retreat either with the bubbly & effervescent Alyce Keegan (the brains & talent behind Kit & Clowder) in full swing. I had my seat at the head of the table next to the Colouring Queen herself & had the most wonderful fun time learning first hand from Alyce.

She provides amazing one-on-one support & feedback for all of her techniques classes & you can only improve with her teachings!

Here are the projects that we coloured and assembled during the retreat. First up was Marci with the bangs & the flicks. I'm happy to say that I got the hang of flicks by the end of the weekend :)

And our final project was this amazing Saturated Canary Dew Drop Fairy. Alyce had done this image previously and I was amazed & stunned by her work. When I first realised that I would be attempting the same image I wanted to hide under the desk. I'm thoroughly pleased I stuck with it & with how she turned out (even though it took me a few solid hours of colouring!) This was also my first attempt at a mixed media project. I really enjoyed getting dirty with the texture past & the sprays. I love the metal paints too!
