Treasured Memories

This week my beloved grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep at the grand age of 96. I know I'm feeling heartbroken so I can only assume how my grandmother is feeling at the passing of her husband of 67 years. As a way of processing my grief I created this card for her taking inspiration from the poppies as he is a return serviceman and the pumpkins for his love of gardening.

Wonderful Memory

We had to say goodbye to our cat of 8 years, Coco. It came as a quick shock and both of my young kids have struggled with losing their beloved friend as this is their first introduction to death and grief. So I found some sweet images and put together a couple of cards for them to help ease their pain. This one I coloured up for my young son using this image from A Day For Daisies 'Fairy Kitty'.

Cherish the Moment

I've recently found an artist who I've fallen in love with! A Day For Daisies has been around for a few years now & I've noticed some of her work before but never really stopped to look, or more to the point did not know who the artist was. That all changed when I won a voucher for her store. In there I saw a couple of images that had previously caught my eye but I never knew who the artist was. I love the vintage, whimsical charm of her artwork & look forward to playing with many of them in the future!
