Small Surprises

I created a few quick cards with my daughters help (who coloured all of the stamps in) to replenish my depleted card stash recently. We used The Greeting Farm's Small Surprises stamp set and mounted them over simple CAS style stencil or distress ink backgrounds.

Relax, its your birthday

I had fun making this pop-up box card. Not for anything in particular, but just for fun. I used one of the fun stamps from the Magnolia 2018 Advent Calendar with Distress Inks.

Selfie Pals Builder

I had the wonderful opportunity to be a special guest designer for Uniquely Creative for their February release. It's been a while since I did some DT work so I loved having the opportunity to be creative. Here are a couple of projects I did using the Selfie Pals Builder stamp set.

40 & Fabulous!

My lovely SIL celebrated her milestone 40th birthday recently in style with a surprise roller disco party! Was so much fun and I only fell over 3 times & didn't break anything which is always good! I made her this special pop-up box card and had fun creating the background brick paper with multiple stencils and distress inks. The image was coloured in Distress inks too and the scene came together so well.

   

Look Who's 40

This week we celebrated darling husband's 40th birthday. He didn't want to do anything or have any fuss made so that's exactly what we did, nothing but spend the day together as a family which was lovely. But I still wanted to do something fancy for his card. I'd admired this card style for a while but I'd never tried it, so this was the perfect time to have a go at making one of those box cards. He is a massive Star Wars fan and this was a new set of stamps I'd just bought. I created the galaxy background paper with Distress Inks too. It was a lot easier to create than I thought, and am now addicted to this card type, especially after giving it to DH  who was very impressed and even said that it was the best card I've done!

Kangaroo Baby Shower

I was asked to prepare a baby shower card and had very little time to put something together. This is what I came up with in the short time (less than 2 hours)!

A dear friend had to say goodbye to his best friend of 15 years, so this was the little card I gave him to help say sorry for his loss. I tried to represent the rainbow bridge using Distress Ink in the clouds.

A Life on the Ice

Someone who my darling husband has worked with for over 20 years lost their mother, so he asked me to make a special card for her. He found out that she had Irish heritage, red hair and was a great ice skater so I put this together for her.
