Embossed Wedding
I had a play with some stamps and gold embossing powder to create this elegant but simple (almost) single layer wedding card.
I stamped the Kaszazz Mannequin on the card front then fussy cut around it before layering some pleated ribbon for the skirt. I embossed the bodice on another piece of paper and embossed with a background stamp (unknown company) and fussy cut and layered over the ribbon. I embossed the inside of the card with some simple roses and finished it off with a row of pearls for a necklace and Kaszazz 'Celebrate' sentiment.

A Washi Father's Day
Because I have 3 wonderful men in my life (my hubby, my father & my father-in-law) I usually run low on time to create full detailed cards with coloured images for all of them. So to make sure that I have enough cards for Father's Day (we recently celebrated) I put together this as a quick card to make sure each of the men in my life know how special they are!
Card ingredients include:
Stamps: Kaszazz 'Happy Father's Day'
Papers: cardstock
Dies: Kaszazz Cogs, Memory Box Man Tools
Other: Washi tape, brads, metallic blue embossing powder.

Bokeh
Like most card makers I have an abundance of craft supplies which don't get much use, such as my Distress Inks. I saw in a magazine recently a tutorial of Bokeh. I couldn't believe how simple this technique is! So I pulled out my neglected inks and gave it a go. To say that I was overjoyed with the results is an understatement! Its such a fun technique and a great way to add colour to any CAS background.
Card ingredients include:
Stamps: Kaszazz Baby Elephant & various sentiments
Papers: Watercolour paper, cardstock
Dies: Miscellaneous magazine freebie large butterfly, Dies R Us Butterflies
Distress Ink: Pink cards: Worn Lipstick, Aged Mahogany, Vintage Photo
Blue/Green cards: Green Moss, Stormy Sky, Broken China
Distress Ink: Pink cards: Worn Lipstick, Aged Mahogany, Vintage Photo
Blue/Green cards: Green Moss, Stormy Sky, Broken China
Other: Twine, sequins, rhinestones, Circle Stencil, Frost White Colorbox Chalk Ink
Technique:
- Press the 3 colours you are going to work with on a craft sheet and spritz with water. Spray the watercolour card and smoosh into the craft mat. Lift and rotate card to pick up different colours. When happy with it, set aside to dry.
- Place a circle stencil over the dried coloured watercolour paper and sponge white ink inside the circles. Reposition the stencil and repeat, overlapping some circles for the bokeh effect. If you do not have a circle stencil, use various sized circle dies and some plastic film to create your own stencil. Build up the strength of the circles to be slightly darker than others.
- That's it, it's that simple! Finish card as desired.

White Wings
I was in need of a quick card for a close friend who sadly lost her baby. I didn't know where to start so used something with wings to symbolise her Angel Baby and also the use of both pink & blue. I embossed white cardstock with white embossing powder before sponging the distress ink over the embossed image, something new for me as I usually only edge with it. To give the butterfly some dimension I embossed it on some vellum and used a matching die cut to give it flight. I spritzed both the card & vellum with glimmer mist for a subtle sparkle and added a few sequins.
Card ingredients include:
Stamps: Kaszazz Flutterby & 'Thinking of You' sentiment
Papers: cardstock, vellum
Dies: Kaszazz Flutterby die
Other: Distress Ink (Broken China, Stormy Sky & Worn Lipstick), Sequins, Pearls, white embossing powder, Tattered Angel Pearl Glimmer Mist.

Watermarks & Washi Tape
So I'm just a little bit excited that I've been published in the current issue of Australian Scrapbook Creations Issue #104 with these cards! They were all created by the same process using different washi tapes and stamps. It's an easy process with unlimited potential!
Firstly here is my spread in the magazine.
And here is a closer look at my cards!
The basic tutorial is pretty simple and is as follows:
1. Stamp chosen stamp randomly with Antique Linen Distress Ink on a 9.5cm x 14cm ivory cardstock. Edge with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
2. Add two strips of Washi Tape across the card (as per the photos). Tie ribbon or twine around the card.
3. Mount the ivory cardstock onto a 10cm x 14.5cm co-ordinating cardstock. Attach layers onto another co-ordinating cardstock A5 folded and scored base card.
4. Stamp sentiment on an ivory cardstock off cut and trim with a corner punch. Edge with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
5. For the flower: Punch x3 large & x3 medium daisies from cardstock. Apply some non-permenant tape to the back of these flowers and attach to scrap paper. Use the same punch, to re-punch the flowers, but slightly twist it first, so that the second punch cuts the first flower petals almost in half, creating small, skinny petals. Peel off scrap paper, edge with Vintage Photo Distress Ink & attach together as shown.
6. Embellish with x3 rhinestones and a co-ordinating die cut/punch/stamp.
