Wishing you...

A brand new challenge is starting over on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. Challenge #24 is 'April Showers may bring Flowers'. We would like to see flowers, especially hand made flowers on your cards. To be in the running for the $10 voucher to the Dies R Us Store just use a die on your creation, how simple is that?! Here is my DT inspiration for you.

Card ingredients include:

Stamps: Whimsy Wee Stamp 'Dandelion Girl'
Copics: Skin: E000  E00  E11  E13  R20
             Hair: Y17  E33  E13  E15
             Skirt/Shoes: BV000  BV00  BV02  BV13  BV08  YG11  YG13  YG17
             Top/Bucket: V000  V12  V15  V17  W00  W3
             Flowers: Y11  Y17
Papers: Kaiser Craft 'Lilac Avenue Collection' paper pack, cardstock.
Other: Shimmer chalk, Kindyglitz, metal brads.

For my flowers, I double cut the Chandra Stem die twice, rolled the centers of the flowers with a wooden embossing burin to curve the petals out and fixed them together with a metal brad.

I'm playing along with:

Crafting by Designs: Shaped Cards
One Sweet Challenge #April: Spring has Sprung
As You Like It Challenge: Alcohol vs Distress markers & Why? (I love Copics because of the rich bold colours they come in, the ease of use & the wonderful depth they can create - they bring images to life!)

This week's inspirational DT card for Dies R Us is another request by my caring Husband for his mentor who is battling serious health issues. He wanted something simple for a male without  a lot of pomp & fluff. So this is what I put together for him. I think the image and sentiment really says everything!
