Look Who's 40!

Recently I helped to celebrate one of my oldest friends milestone birthday. He is a huge Star Wars fan after working on one of the films, so obviously I had to create something fun from that theme and because I love making different types of cards, I went with a shadow box card for this one.

Look Who's 40

This week we celebrated darling husband's 40th birthday. He didn't want to do anything or have any fuss made so that's exactly what we did, nothing but spend the day together as a family which was lovely. But I still wanted to do something fancy for his card. I'd admired this card style for a while but I'd never tried it, so this was the perfect time to have a go at making one of those box cards. He is a massive Star Wars fan and this was a new set of stamps I'd just bought. I created the galaxy background paper with Distress Inks too. It was a lot easier to create than I thought, and am now addicted to this card type, especially after giving it to DH  who was very impressed and even said that it was the best card I've done!
