Look Who's 40

This week we celebrated darling husband's 40th birthday. He didn't want to do anything or have any fuss made so that's exactly what we did, nothing but spend the day together as a family which was lovely. But I still wanted to do something fancy for his card. I'd admired this card style for a while but I'd never tried it, so this was the perfect time to have a go at making one of those box cards. He is a massive Star Wars fan and this was a new set of stamps I'd just bought. I created the galaxy background paper with Distress Inks too. It was a lot easier to create than I thought, and am now addicted to this card type, especially after giving it to DH  who was very impressed and even said that it was the best card I've done!

I was asked to prepare a baby shower card and had very little time to put something together. This is what I came up with in the short time (less than 2 hours)!

I finally found some glow in the dark embossing powder, but I didn't realise that it would emboss clear so I'm playing around with how to use it.

An Aussie Baby Welcome

My cousin is due to give birth any day now so in preparation for the event I made this sweet little card as she is Queenslander but she lives in UK now, so I wanted to give her something that had an Aussie flavour and was gender neutral as the gender is unknown.
