A beautiful family had the devastating experience of having to bring their baby boy into the world asleep. There are no words which can help to alleviate their grief, so the only thing I could come up with was a keepsake for them to know that we are here for them.

Look Who's 40!

Recently I helped to celebrate one of my oldest friends milestone birthday. He is a huge Star Wars fan after working on one of the films, so obviously I had to create something fun from that theme and because I love making different types of cards, I went with a shadow box card for this one.

My father-in-law celebrated his birthday this week and I wanted to do something fun for him. I'm loving pop-up box cards at the moment so I played around and came up with this using the Hunkydory Collection 'A Gardener's World'.

Look Who's 40

This week we celebrated darling husband's 40th birthday. He didn't want to do anything or have any fuss made so that's exactly what we did, nothing but spend the day together as a family which was lovely. But I still wanted to do something fancy for his card. I'd admired this card style for a while but I'd never tried it, so this was the perfect time to have a go at making one of those box cards. He is a massive Star Wars fan and this was a new set of stamps I'd just bought. I created the galaxy background paper with Distress Inks too. It was a lot easier to create than I thought, and am now addicted to this card type, especially after giving it to DH  who was very impressed and even said that it was the best card I've done!

70 years young!

My cousin welcomed her daughter into the world on the anniversary of our grandfather's 98th birthday. It was a bitter sweet coincidence as he passed away last year, so it was also a lovely date to keep in the family. This was also the first time I played with this side step type of fold.
